Thursday, September 8 – Heartworm Headaches & Heartbreaks – This session will discuss those clinical conundrums that arise during the diagnosis and treatment of heartworm disease in dogs and cats. Dr. Chris Rehm and Dr. Tom Nelson
Thursday, September 8 – Treating Severe Heartworm Infection – Only a small percentage of dogs with heartworm disease experience severe clinical signs or complications during adulticide therapy. However, these cases can be challenging to treat.. This session will discuss the approach to diagnosing and treating severe heartworm disease in dogs. Dr. Marisa Ames and Dr. Andy Moorhead
Friday, September 9 – Heartworm Disease in the Shelter and Rescue Setting – The shelter and rescue setting presents unique challenges for the management of heartworm disease.
